I stopped making excuses for CRM systems I no longer believed in.

Then I built something better.

ABOUT CRAWL WALK RUN

I spent over a decade inside the Salesforce ecosystem. I managed consulting businesses, ran implementations, advised on CRM strategy, worked as a technical specialist and pre-sales engineer, sold as an individual contributor, and led sales teams. I saw the industry from almost every angle.

And for a long time, I believed in it.

Then the patterns started to become impossible to ignore.

A project that was supposed to take three months and ran for nine. A go-live that the vendor celebrated while the team quietly retreated back to the spreadsheet they had been using all along. A conference call with eight, ten, sometimes twelve people billing by the hour, each owning a small piece of something that nobody seemed to own end to end. Every year at renewal, a 7% increase. AI capabilities dangled as an upsell. Features that probably should have been included, only available for an additional fee per user per month.

I watched this play out enough times that I stopped being surprised by it. Then I stopped being able to justify it.

The functional consultant in those rooms usually understood the business well enough to design and build the solution themselves. Often they had exactly the skills to do it. But the engagement model didn't allow it. Every workstream needed its own person. Every person needed utilisation targets. The client paid for all of it.

I think a lot of people in the industry knew the value proposition had tipped too far and said nothing. I didn't want to be one of those people.

That frustration was the spark that led to Crawl Walk Run.

Then I discovered Attio.

I had spent so long in the Salesforce world that I assumed anything outside it was either too basic or too niche to take seriously. So when I started looking at what else was out there, it wasn't with any particular sense of urgency. Just curiosity.

Then I got into Attio properly.

The data model made sense immediately. The interface felt like something built for how people actually work today. The AI wasn't a bolt-on with a price tag attached. It was just part of how the thing operated. From the moment I first logged in I could tell it was different. It was like how all the CRMs I had worked with in the past should have been constructed.

I kept waiting for the catch. There wasn't one.

I walked away genuinely excited about a piece of software for the first time in years. That doesn't happen often when you've been in this industry as long as I have. That was the beginning of Crawl Walk Run.

A different kind of consulting business.

Crawl Walk Run exists because I wanted to prove the model doesn't have to work the way it always has.

We offer fixed-price projects with a one or two-person team. You know exactly what you're paying before we start. No surprise invoices. No scope creep dressed up as change requests. No army of consultants, each owning a small piece of something nobody owns end to end.

Attio makes this possible. The platform is intuitive enough that a small, senior team who understands both the business and the tool can design, build, and hand over a working system without the overhead that traditional CRM consulting requires. The savings aren't marginal. The economics are fundamentally different.

If you've been quoted six figures for a CRM project and it felt like too much, it probably was.

We're APAC's first and only Attio Expert partner, based in Sydney and working with Australian businesses every day. We're a small team with deep experience across CRM implementation, systems architecture, automation, and technology strategy. We've worked across a wide range of industries and we understand that the best CRM solution is one your team actually uses.

We start where you are. We build what you need. Nothing more.

Work with us.

If any of this resonates, I'd love to have a conversation. The first step is a free, no-obligation discovery call. No hard sell, no jargon. Just an honest discussion about where you're at and whether we can help.
